The Gathering

That's right folks, the premier Victorian renactment event, The Gathering is on again for 2012 under new management.

Conroi de Bohon is proud to announce that they have taken over the running of The Gathering, Queen's Birthday weekend, June 8th-11th, which has been admirably managed by Cliff Chatterley and Ian Rogers for many years.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, The Gathering is an early medieval camping event that has in the past been themed on a particular time and event.  Since 2001, some previous themes have included the funeral of an Old Prussian tribal leader (c.800 AD); the winter encampment of the Great Heathen Army at Repton, Derbyshire (873-874 AD); the resistance of the Irishmen of Munster against the viking invaders (c.950 AD), as well as the Normans in Italy (c. 1050 AD).

At this point, no costs etc. have been worked out, but please bookmark your calendars.  We will get back to you shortly with more details.
