Fighting and Training

Fighting and Training Some pictures of us fighting. Note that the combatants are using wooden batons rather than metal weapons. This is because some of the fighters are not graded to skirmish with steel.

The Ancient Arts Fellowship is largely focused on fighting with metal weapons. We train regularly to become proficient and safe using these weapons in reenactment combat. Alongside craft and armouring, fighting is one of the primary activities that we engage in.

Here you will find information related to the fighting activities of the Fellowship, including both the standards we adhere to and more scholarly articles about history and techniques.
